During the depression in the year 1993 many banks cut back their activity, and so Pippurimylly's downstairs was extended to the space of an adjoining bank. The blockrestaurant making use of the old bank's space, was named Hugo and immediately it springed to favor of the locals – becaming sort of a livingroom. Beers are picked up from the bank counter by the old and the new regular customers and random come-by'ers , who create the home-like feeling in hugo. And as a winecellar there's off course a bank vault...
